Ready-to-use, sterile pre-filled flushing devices containing sodium chloride (isotonic NaCl 0,9 %)

• Syringes suitable for use on a sterile fluid path, use for general IV flush procedures
• BD PosiFlush™ syringes are designed to eliminate syringe-induced blood reflux enhancing catheter maintenance protocols
• Special design of syringe barrel means the smaller 3ml syringes have the same diameter as the 10ml syringes, assuring a standardised pressure during the flushing process
• BD Luer-Lock™ tip for secure connection to the catheter, minimising patient discomfort
• Size and shape of the tip cap allows easy handling and helps avoid touch contamination of the syringe luer connection
• Do not contain: Latex, BPA, PVC or DEHP
• Terminally steam sterilised - sterility assurance level of 10-6

Before Use:

1. Prepare your sterile field. Aseptically open package and introduce syringe to sterile field
2. Don sterile gloves
3. Prior to using syringe, break loose the syringe plunger by pushing firmly on thumb press with tip cap still on, until you feel the plunger move
4. Expel air and excess solution by twisting off tip cap and pushing plunger forward. Use syringe to prime/flush vascular access device following your institution’s policy

After Use:

1. Discard used syringe, including any unused saline, following your institution’s policy.
2. DO NOT REUSE
