Incident and Emergency Response Training
When preventing or responding to an incident or emergency on site - clear, confident action can save lives. Security, Incident and Emergency Response Training is now more important than ever, with the introduction of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law. This new legislation requires public venues and organisations to take practical, proportionate steps to improve public safety and emergency preparedness. Adequate staff training is critical, but also one of the most effective, affordable and attainable ways to meet obligations.
Our online training courses are designed to support obligations under Martyn’s Law, as well as wider guidance, and help ensure your team is prepared to respond effectively in a critical situation. From understanding the requirements of the law, to security awareness, using bleed control kits, managing public access emergency equipment, and coordinating evacuations or lockdowns, these fully CPD accredited online courses from our training partner ProTrainings provide the required knowledge, practical guidance, and certification at an affordable cost. All training is saved and documented properly, perfect for demonstrating compliance measures taken for your site.
Each course is easy to access, clearly structured, and created with real-world application in mind. How it works

- We sell access keycodes to ProTrainings online courses up to 20% below the RRP. Order the number of access keycodes you need for each course like any other product from First Aid Less, checking out and completing your order as you normally would. You will need to order one keycode per course, per person. Keycodes can only be redeemed once and only work for the course specified.
- When you have completed your order, we will email you with:
- A link to the training portal
- Your keycode(s) for the courses ordered
- A PDF of what to do next
- If necessary, you can then distribute keycode(s) to other learners as required, or use the keycode(s) yourself if the training is for you. Remember, keycodes can only be redeemed once and only work for the course specified.
- Learners can then sign up using the link to the training portal, https://www.protrainings.uk/signup/firstaid4less. Each learner needs their own personal account so certificates and training records are correct. Redeem keycodes by entering a keycode in the ‘Key or Referral Code’ box as part of the sign up form. This will then make the relevant course for that keycode appear on the training dashboard when first logging in.
- If you already have a login or have multiple courses you wish to appear in your training dashboard, you can redeem more keycodes easily at any time by clicking the ‘Redeem Keycode’ link when logged in. Adding a new keycode in here will then add the relevant course to your training dashboard.
- Once you have signed up on the ProTrainings portal, all of the administration, including saving progress, training records, issuing certificates and access to the material is stored within your training login. This is on the ProTrainings system and is separate to the FirstAid4Less website. The portal is simple and intuitive to use. Technical queries or questions regarding the training or content are handled by ProTrainings – call 01206 807587 or email support@protrainings.uk
- All learners have ongoing access to training materials after completion of the course for several months, with the option of weekly training emails delivered straight to your inbox to keep your knowledge up to date and demonstrate ongoing learning.

A far more convenient way for me to organise first aid training for myself and my employees.
This is an excellent, well presented course that is easily accessible to all. We would recommend it to any small company for their staff without hesitation.
Great cost effective way for small businesses to afford providing training to all members of staff without impacting too much on the day to day running of the business.
What Is Martyn’s Law?

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act is now Law. The Act is also known as ‘Martyn’s Law’ in tribute to Martyn Hett, who was tragically killed alongside 21 others in the Manchester Arena terrorist attack.
Martyn’s Law enhances public safety by ensuring better preparedness for, and protection from, terrorist attacks. It mandates, for the first time, who is responsible for considering the risk from a terrorist attack and how they would respond, to reduce harm and save lives.
The scope of premises and events included is very broad and includes retail, hospitality, entertainment, recreation, exhibitions, visitor attractions, education, transport, education, healthcare, places of worship and more. The act will establish a tiered model based on the principal activity and having a public capacity of over 200.
An inspection regime will be put in place with full powers of entry into any qualifying location. Regulators will have a range of sanctions to address non-compliance and will be able to impose penalties, including restriction notices or fines of up to £18m or 5% of worldwide revenue.
Compliance shouldn’t be onerous and is designed to sit alongside existing health and safety obligations. Depending on the premises or event – it may simply involve consulting official guidance, conducting a risk assessment, establishing procedures, and providing basic training.
It is vital that your premises have the appropriate infrastructure and equipment to facilitate effective Security and Evacuation plans and procedures. This may include Trauma Kits as per Home Office Guidance, as well as clearly signposting, waymarking, and increasing awareness of the security protocols you have put in place. Doing so could save lives.
Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, also known as Martyn’s Law requires public venues and organisations to take practical, proportionate steps to improve public safety and emergency preparedness. Adequate staff training is critical, but also one of the most effective, affordable and attainable ways to meet obligations.
Our online training courses are designed to support obligations under Martyn’s Law, as well as wider guidance, and help ensure your team is prepared to respond effectively in a critical situation.
